Get To Know Mark Jones, Your Inspection Expert
LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd was founded by Engineer Surveyor, Mark Jones. After a long and distinguished career in the Royal Air Force as a Mechanical Aircraft Engineer, Mark entered the Inspection Industry with one of the largest specialist engineering insurance companies in the UK.
In 2019, Mark won the UK leg of his then employer’s innovation competition and was sent to the USA to pitch his inspection ideas to the wider, global leadership teams. This led to heading up UK trials for supplementing Thorough Examinations with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Remote Viewing Inspection tools. He worked as a subject matter expert on the Safety Assessment Federation’s (SAFed) TC10 Working Groups to co-author two industry guidance documents for the safe use of such equipment.
In 2021, from an engineering pool of 260+ surveyors, he was voted HSB Engineer Surveyor of the Year and also placed as a finalist with the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) Bureau of Engineer Surveyors (BES) Engineer Surveyor of the Year. Mark thoroughly enjoyed his time at HSB but left in 2022 from the role of Deputy Regional Engineering Manager for East Anglia.
Mark predominantly examines Lifting & Mechanical Plant, Minor Pressure Systems (including Autoclaves) and specialises in Mobile Cranes. Mark is SAFed SS01 qualified, EngTech registered with the Engineering Council (IEng application pending) and a Chartered Manager.
Excellence in engineering standards and absolute customer satisfaction led Mark to joining the ESiNet Engineer Surveyor Inspection Network as a member company under the badge of LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd. ESiNet members share the exact same values of standards and service delivery. This, coupled with our pooling of resources, technical and operational knowledge sets ESiNet apart as a go-to service provider.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending quality time with his young family at their Norfolk home. He also volunteers as a Search Technician for Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue (NorLSAR) where his experience with drones is looking to onboard new search capabilities.
